Cavo Tagoo & Bill & Coo
Two of the island's best-known boutique hotels, on the slopes just outside Chora — infinity pools, sea views and a short ride to dinner in town.
וילות עם בריכה, סירה פרטית לדלוס ולרניה, ארוחות הצהריים המפורסמות — ואיך להזמין לפני שהכול נתפס.
High-end Mykonos is less about one grand hotel than about three things done privately: a villa or suite with its own pool, a long lunch on a famous beach, and a day at sea. Everything else — the shopping in Chora, the dinners, the transfers — fits around those. Our top-end daily band starts at €450+ per person before flights, and July–August prices can run far higher (see trip cost).
Cliff-top suites near Chora for nightlife; Ornos and Agios Ioannis for beach resorts; a villa inland or on the east coast for privacy.
A private boat from Ornos to Delos and Rhenia is the single best upgrade on the island.
Book lunch at Nammos or Scorpios, dinner in Chora — and one evening at a simple taverna.
Mykonos has hundreds of private villas, from three-bedroom houses to estates with staff. The best sit on hillsides with a sea view and a pool, a 10–20 minute drive from Chora. Book through an agency that is licensed in Greece and check what is included: daily cleaning, breakfast, a car, airport pick-up.

Resort living around Ornos Bay: Santa Marina with its private beach and children's facilities, design-led Kenshō, and Kalesma's villas on the hill above.
The Myconian hotels, including Myconian Ambassador at Platis Gialos and Myconian Utopia, are among the most established five-stars on the island.

The classic charter leaves Ornos Bay in the morning, crosses to Delos for a guided visit, then anchors off Rhenia — an uninhabited island with clear water and empty coves — for a swim and lunch on board, before cruising back along the south coast at sunset.
Seafood, champagne and superyachts in the bay. The island's most famous lunch — book well ahead in summer.
A robata grill and a plant-forward Mediterranean menu, then a sunset DJ set on the headland.
Zuma brings Japanese izakaya cooking to Chora; Noema serves late. Little Venice tables are booked for the view.
For a meal locals will remember you by, book nothing: drive to Kiki's Tavern above Agios Sostis before noon, wait for a table, and eat charcoal-grilled food at a taverna with no electricity and no reservations.
Matoyianni Street is the spine of Chora's shopping — international fashion houses, Greek designers, jewellers and resortwear, in whitewashed shopfronts that stay open late into the evening. The side lanes around it hold galleries and smaller labels.
Taxis are few; a pre-booked driver meets you at Arrivals or the New Port. Villas usually arrange one.
Beach-club beds, boats and restaurant tables sell out in July–August. Hand the list to your hotel or villa concierge weeks ahead.
For quiet, choose a villa away from the south-coast party beaches and book beach clubs on the north coast — Alemagou or Principote.
Swap the boat for a long lunch at Nammos on a windy day, and keep a second evening free for the simple pleasures: grilled fish at a harbour taverna and the windmills after dark, when the crowds have gone.
Mostly in private villas with pools on the hills around Chora, Ornos, Agios Ioannis and Kalafatis, or in five-star hotels such as Cavo Tagoo and Bill & Coo near Chora, Santa Marina and Kalesma around Ornos, and the Myconian Collection at Platis Gialos. Privacy and a sea view matter more than the address.
Our top-end band starts at about €450 per person per day before flights, and July–August villa rentals, beach-club minimum spends and yacht charters can push that much higher. June and September offer the same experiences for noticeably less (Visit Mykonos estimates, checked Oct 2026).
Yes. Private boats leave Ornos Bay for Delos and Rhenia on half-day and full-day charters, priced per boat. Confirm in writing that you will land on Delos — some trips only sail past — and budget the €20 site ticket separately. Strong north wind can cancel the crossing.
